What Is A Sandbox In Salesforce

A **Salesforce Sandbox** is a replica of your production environment used for development, testing, and training without impacting live operations. It allows teams to safely build, test, and validate changes before deploying them to production.

There are four types of sandboxes:

1. **Developer Sandbox**: A small environment for development and testing, refreshed daily, with 200 MB of data storage.

2. **Developer Pro Sandbox**: Offers more storage (1 GB) than Developer Sandbox, ideal for larger projects.

3. **Partial Copy Sandbox**: Includes a subset of production data, refreshed every 5 days, with 5 GB storage, useful for testing with some real data.

4. **Full Sandbox**: A full replica of the production environment, including all data and metadata, refreshed every 29 days, suitable for full-scale testing and UAT.

Each sandbox serves different development and testing needs based on data volume and testing requirements.
